  1. What is the size of the KAI?
    1.75” x 3.25” x 8” (Height/Dept/Width)
  2. What are the Power Requirements of the KAI?
    100vac-240vac, 50/60Hz, 0.3A
  3. Can I use my standalone Motion Controller (Series IV) or my PC-based Motion Controller (MCI) to replace the KAI? Or do I really need one to enjoy the Gaming Motion Code?
The standalone Motion Controller (Series IV) and the PC-based Motion Controller MCI-2P (2 ports) or MCI-4P (4 ports) are only made to be use with movies, not with video games. You need a KAI system connected to a D-BOX chair or platform along with your PC games and PC to be able to enjoy this technology.
  4. Is the KAI is compatible with all Operating Systems?
  5. No, we are compatible with Windows XP, Vista and 7.
  6. Would it work if I would use CAT5e wire with my D-BOX setup?
Yes it would.  Normal Cat5 wire could also work, but we recommend using shielded Cat5 wire.
  7. There are 4 ports on the back of the KAI-4P, if I only need one by D-BOX chair or platform, what is the use of the 3 others?
If you have another D-BOX chair or platform, you can hook it up to the KAI too and feel exactly the same motions that the one who control the game gets.
  8. I installed the KAI system along with Motion Code, when I start the game on Vista, the chair starts vibration for no apparent reasons. How can I fix this?
Right click on the speaker icon at the bottom right of the screen. Open the Playback Devices. Make sure that the KineAudio isn't the default device, when the KineAudio is set as the default playback device, the KAI will become your soundcard and the actuators act as subwoofers.
  9. The game chair only goes up and down 4 times and then stops moving. What does it mean?
The set of actuators and Syndrive doesn't have enough power to do its calibration. So our suggestion would be to verify the power source: Change the equipment of outlet or breaker. Retry without having anything else plugged in on the same breaker as the D-BOX equipment.
  10. What are the most common reasons why there's no motions when trying a D-BOX compatible game with the KAI?
    • The game motion code is not installed or correctly installed on the PC or the game is not yet compatible with D-BOX. Try reinstalling it.
    • In Playback Device, when selecting the KineAudio Interface then pressing on Properties, make sure it as the Default Format in the Tab Advanced is: 4ch, 16bit, 8000Hz.
    • Still in Playback Device, when the KineAudio Interface is set as your Default device.  Your sound card should be the default device.
    • Open the KAI Actuator Monitor and make sure there is no Fault Description for any actuator.
    • Make sure the actuators are connected with the KAI.
