D-BOX is looking for a Sourcing & Procurement Manager that has a proven international supply chain management skills & leadership experience of sourcing products from suppliers.

The person will develop and oversee major project plans to ensure On Spec and On Time performance of multiple products supplied from multiple international suppliers.

Your mission

  • Day to day accountability and responsibility for Supply Chain activities includes: Finding New Suppliers, RFQ, Supplier Selection, Purchase Order Management and On Spec and On Time delivery of internationally sourced products to customers in North America, Europe and Asia.

  • Responsible of Sourcing Strategy
    • In-house or outsource decisions,
    • the supplier selection and evaluation processes,
    • contract management and
    • procurement processes

  • Leads the supply chain team in executing best practices and measuring performance through agreed upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in line with Job responsibilities.

  • Ensure that Forecasting, Demand Planning and Sales/customer RFQ’s and job costings are replied to by supply chain in required time by ensuring the most competitive costs and service offering from international suppliers

  • Proactively manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts and excess inventory, ensuring a consistent supply of materials for production while minimizing holding costs and waste

  • Evaluate Supply Chain Risk by identifying, performing risk analysis and responding to mitigate risk.

  • Proactively monitor changes in import regulations and tariffs, assess potential risks and opportunities, and develop strategies to minimize duty costs and ensure uninterrupted supply chain operations.

  • Review and approve international supplier RFQ’s and PO’s to ensure the best pricing, quality and delivery of products and services.

  • Manage international supplier evaluation, selection, and management ensuring existing and new suppliers are able to meet Company requirements for quality, on-time delivery, price, supply methodology and payment terms.

  • Understanding logistics trade environment, obstacles and documentation required in international trade, with a focus on parties involved in import/export, legislative and liability, terms of trade, international cargo/cargo security and commercial documentation.

  • Train, instruct and develop members of the Sourcing & Procurement department and be responsible for their results.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Your DNA

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain, procurement certification and/or equivalent experience.

  • Genuine international supply chain/procurement management skills & leadership experience of sourcing products (preferably electronic/metal components) from international suppliers and delivering to customers in North America.

  • Proven ability to hold oneself and direct reports responsible for results.

  • A minimum of 6 to 8 years of international supply chain/procurement management working with multiple (at least 20) international suppliers (preferably China and India).

  • Proven strong negotiation skills when dealing with international suppliers.

  • Real experience of finding new international suppliers.

  • Proven hands-on experience of managing QMS and NCR policies and holding international suppliers and internal reports accountable to deliver On Spec and On Time.

  • Hands on experience of using electronic communication methods and reporting to keep track of RFQ’s, PO’s, On Spec and On Time delivery, freight, productivity, and performance evaluation.

  • Proven project plan experience of supplying multiple products to customers On Time and On Spec, sourced from multiple International suppliers.

  • Aptitude for hands-on problem solving and troubleshooting - ability to proactively modify and refine service plans to satisfy customer requirements. A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills – In both French & English

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure.

  • Experience with GP (Grain Plains) a plus.
