Summary

Reporting to the Lead, Haptic Design, the Haptic Designer creates and integrates sound frequencies translated into haptics and motion, perfectly synchronized with multimedia content using audiovisual production tools. The role ensures the artistic, technical, and realistic quality of productions in accordance with the D-BOX signature while respecting the filmmakers’ creative vision and aesthetic. The role is on evening shift, with possible flexibility depending on the requirements. This position is based in Burbank, Los Angeles, California, United States.

Your mission

  • Use Pro Tools according to established production standards and techniques;
  • Create haptic tracks by editing existing frequencies or creating new frequencies as required;
  • Identify and integrate haptic effects while ensuring perfect synchronization with multimedia content;
  • Participate in final mixing of haptic codes;
  • Perform post-production tasks, including project creation, asset management, and archiving;
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and training of new team members;
  • Collaborate directly with clients on various projects;
  • Participate in cross-functional creative projects;
  • Help maintain and evolve the D-BOX signature;
  • Follow cybersecurity requirements and TPN protocols;
  • Represent the department during internal and external visits;
  • Perform other related duties as assigned;

Your DNA

  • College diploma and/or equivalency in audiovisual production from a recognized institution;
  • 1–3 years of experience in audiovisual post-production;
  • Experience with Pro Tools or REAPER;
  • Ability to work with deadlines;
  • Strong teamwork skills;
  • Attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Ability to receive constructive feedback;
  • Flexibility to work overtime depending on production needs;
  • Excellent physical health;
