Four Must-See D-BOX Movies this 2022 Holiday Season

November 29, 2022

The busiest season for movie theaters is right around the corner. There’s no shortage of festive (and long-awaited) titles hitting the big screen with D-BOX haptic feedback to help you enjoy the most wonderful time of the year!

The earlier you start planning your movie outings, the better—so keep reading and reserve tickets for your favourites.

Violent Night

Season’s beatings!

Starring David Harbour of Stranger Things, Violent Night sees Santa Claus come to town for a whole new mission—to rescue a wealthy family taken hostage by violent mercenaries on Christmas Eve.

While the hostage situation starts off in the captors’ favor, there’s one thing that they certainly didn’t plan for: a furious, not-so-saintly Nick who refuses to see his holiday ruined.

Also starring Beverly D’Angelo (from holiday favorite Christmas Vacation), John Leguizamo, and Brendan Fletcher, you can join Santa on his mission to save Christmas by seeing Violent Night in a D-BOX theater near you starting December 2nd.

Polar Express (2004)

Climb aboard the Polar Express and feel every magical moment of this holiday classic as it re-hits the big screen at select US Cinemark locations for a two-day event on December 11th and 14th !

The inspiring story of a little boy who lost faith in Santa Claus stars Tom HanksNona Gaye and Peter Scolari and follows him as a mysterious train shows up outside his window to take him to the North Pole on Christmas Eve.

Not only will this feel-good movie move you through its festive plot, but also with its perfectly synchronized D-BOX haptic feedback!

Avatar: The Way of Water

The wait is finally over! You can embark on the long-awaited return to Pandora when Avatar: The Way of Water hits theaters everywhere on December 16th.

The original Avatar hit theaters over 13 years ago and this is the first of what’s expected to be three sequels. The Way of Water takes place a decade after the events of the first film and tells the story of the Sully family - Jake, Neytiri and their children—and the tragedy that befalls them.

Keeping with the original environmental themes, The Way of Water will focus primarily on the oceans of Pandora; most of the cast had to learn the art of freediving to perfectly capture the underwater scenes.

Directed by the legendary James Cameron and starring Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Kate Winslet and more, Avatar: The Way of Water is sure to stun audiences with its incredible visual effects. It is one of the most expensive movies ever made with an astonishing budget clocking in at approximately $250 million.

Don’t miss your chance to truly feel every moment of what will perhaps be the biggest movie of the year and purchase your tickets to see it in D-BOX! You won’t want to wait to secure your seats for this one—the special effects have once again revolutionized the cinema industry and seeing it in D-BOX will add an extra layer of wow to an already incredible viewing experience.

Elf (2003)

Arguably one of the most popular holiday movies of all time, Will Ferrell’s Elf is sure to spread Christmas Cheer when it’s re-released in select Cinemark in early December!

Raised by elves at the North Pole, Buddy was sure that he, too, was an elf, despite being significantly taller than the rest of the North Pole’s residents. When he finds out that he was adopted, he heads to New York City to meet his biological father—who happens to be on Santa’s naughty list!

You can join Ferrell and Zoey Deschanel on this hilarious adventure that sees Buddy learn the true meaning of love, family, and of the holiday season by seeing it in D-BOX during the week of December 2nd to December 8th.

Merry movies for a merry holiday season

With three festive titles (regardless of if you like family-friendly or action-packed ones 😉) and one long-awaited blockbuster, you can make the most of your December by visiting a D-BOX theater near you in the coming weeks.

To make it more fun, why not buy advance tickets and wrap them up for you and your loved ones—making all their (early) Christmas dreams come true!
