1. Night Swim

This haunted swimming pool horror will have you on the edge of your seat and far away from the deep end in 2024. Based on a popular short film from 2014 by Rod Blackhurst and Bryce McGuire, this updated thriller doesn’t hold back. 

Night Swim follows the story of a family of four moving into a new home. The selling point? A swimming pool that seems like it will solve all their problems. But it turns out that the pool has a dark past of dragging people under. 2. The Beekeeper

Jason Statham is back in another must-see action film. From the director of Suicide Squad and Fury, you can’t miss out on this exciting cinema experience. This movie is on every action enthusiast’s watch list for 2024–and for good reason. 

The Beekeeper dives into the story of a former operative as he takes his vengeance all the way up to national stakes after the wrongful loss of his friend. It’s that perfect dose of justice, guns, explosions, combat, and “fight for what’s right” you’ve been craving. 3. Mean Girls

Ten years later, Mean Girls is back for more. But this time, with a musical tune. And just like the original movie, Tina Fey is behind the production again. In fact, if you’re a die-hard Mean Girls fan, you’ll see many familiar faces. 

Based on the original movie, the main character, Cady Heron, navigates a new school filled with your traditional public school cliques: the weirdos, nerds, band geeks, and popular kids. And (of course) she accidentally falls for the most popular girl’s ex-boyfriend–yikes. This means girl war and tons of drama. Experience it all in a D-BOX theater near you January 12, 2024!

 

4. Argylle


Genre: Action, Thriller 

Cast: Sofia Boutella, Henry Cavill, Catherine O'Hara 

Release Date: February 2, 2024 

Argylle’s plot features Elly Conway, a shy novelist who quickly gets thrown into a world of action when the storylines of her spy novels get a little too real. She meets an undercover spy who saves her life, and the two of them–plus her adored cat Alfie–get thrown into a covert mission that feels somewhat familiar. 

As an ode to 1980s nostalgic action thrillers like Die Hard and Lethal Weapon, you’ll definitely get your fill of classic action in this movie. Plus, watching it in a D-BOX haptic feedback chair will make you feel as if you’re side-by-side with secret agents jumping, spinning, and fighting your way through the thrilling plot. 

 

5. Madame Web

Cast: Sydney Sweeney, Isabela Merced, Emma Roberts 

Release Date: February 14, 2024 

Marvel did it again with their newest movie hitting theaters February 14, 2024. This marks the fourth film in the Spider-Man Universe, which originated from a script that started back in September 2019 and is centered around the Marvel character Madame Web. 

The plot is based in Manhattan, with the main character, Cassie Webb, trying to confront her unique past. She soon realizes she may have clairvoyant abilities and bands together with three other women who also seem to have some sort of powerful connection. Meanwhile, they are hunted by a deadly rival and fight to stay alive. 

Madame Web fills that action-packed void you’ve been craving and will be more enhanced with D-BOX motion seats. Navigate your way through the story and feel as if you’re right alongside your favorite Marvel heroes from your theater chair. 

 

6. Dune: Part Two

Release Date: March 1, 2024 

Finally, the long-awaited sequel to Dune. Following part one, which was released in 2021, a key point of negotiation on this sequel was assuring that this movie would have an exclusive window where it would only be shown in theaters. The director stated theatrical exclusivity was a "non-negotiable condition.” And now here we are with Dune: Part Two. 

Follow along as Paul continues his journey, united with Chani and the Fremen. As he struggles with losing his family, Paul seeks revenge against the traitors. 7. Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire

Ghostbusters welcomes its fifth film in the Ghostbusters franchise–Frozen Empire. Filmmakers drew inspiration from the classic animated series The Real Ghostbusters (1986-1991) for this anticipated sequel. 

The story begins when the Spengler family decides to leave Oklahoma and meet up with the original Ghostbusters in their famous New York City firehouse. But it turns out that their discovery of an ancient artifact unleashes a super evil force. Old and new Ghostbusters must join forces to save the world from a deadly second Ice Age set to freeze over the entire Earth. 8. Mickey 17


Genre: Drama, Sci-Fi, Adventure 

Cast: Mark Ruffalo, Robert Pattinson, Toni Collette 

Release Date: March 29, 2024 

Written and directed by Bong Joon-ho, Mickey 17 is based on the 2022 novel Mickey7 by Edward Ashton. While the plot is still tightly under wraps, insiders note this movie is the anticipated release following the Academy Award-winning Parasite from 2019. 

From what we know, the story of Mickey 17 begins with a nonessential employee on an expedition sent to colonize the ice world, Niflheim. After the dispensable employee dies, a new body is regenerated with his old memories still intact–woah.
