Classic Warner Bros. Movies Being Re-Released in D-BOX Theaters This Fall

To end 2022—which has been a great year for movie lovers—on a high note, Warner Bros. Studios has announced that they will be re-releasing 4 of its most beloved seasonal films in theaters!

 

From now until the end of the year, moviegoers can get in the spirit of Halloween and Christmas respectively with The Lost Boys, Trick ‘r Treat, Polar Express and Elf. Not only is this an opportunity to see (or re-see) these movies on the big screen, but they’ll also all be released in D-BOX for the first time—meaning that you’ll truly be able to feel every spooky and jolly moment with our haptic technology plunging you right into the heart of the action!

The Lost Boys (1987)

Celebrating its 35th anniversary, the movie which spawned two sequels (Lost Boys: The Tribe and Lost Boys: The Thirst) and two comic book series will be hitting the big screen once more on October 5th!

Starring Jason Patric, Corey Haim, Dianne Wiest, Jami Gertz and more, this comedic horror film tells the story of a mother and her 2 young sons who move to a small city in California which has been experiencing mysterious deaths and biker gang activity.

Whilst out and about in their new city, the 2 boys—Michael and Sam—each make a group of new friends: Sam meets 2 other teenagers who claim to be vampire hunters, while Michael is drawn into a suspicious biker gang by a beautiful girl. When Michael starts developing a taste for blood and sleeping days instead of nights, Sam and his friends become obsessed with the mystery of the biker gang—leading to heaps of horrific trouble.

Having grossed more than $32 million on a budget of $8.5 million, The Lost Boys won the 1987 Saturn Award for the best horror film and still stands today as one of the best horror flicks of its time!

Trick ‘r Treat (2007)

For the first time ever, horror festival favourite Trick ‘r Treat is getting a theatrical release!

Directed by Michael Dougherty, this 2007 flick features 5 separate stories taking place on Halloween night that all one thing in common: the appearance of Sam, a small trick-or-treater dressed in orange with a burlap sack over his head.

When each of the five main groups of characters—a high school principal, a young couple, a college virgin, a group of teenagers and an old man—break different sacred Halloween traditions, Sam pays them a visit to enforce the rules of the holiday… which often have gruesome consequences.

The Polar Express (2004)

The world’s first all-digital capture film is hitting the big screen once more on December 11th and 14th!

Following the story of a young boy who begins to question whether or not Santa Claus is real, this inspiring journey to the North Pole will move you not only through D-BOX’s haptic feedback, but also through the way it teaches all who watch it what it truly means to believe!

Elf (2003)
